Competitions

The Burnley Express were on hand to record various competitions, including some organised by the Express. They Include beauty, dancing, gardening, speaking, painting and other craft competitions, sheep trials and quizzes. There was also the annual soap box Derby which took place at Hammerton Street on Boxing Day.
